Analysis of the reasons affecting the counting accuracy of the capsule counting machine:

1. Human factors:

① The operator did not preheat the machine before starting the machine according to the operating procedures.

② The operator did not replenish the materials in the silo in time during the operation of the machine, which directly affected the separation state of the materials on the oscillating plate, and finally led to inaccurate product counting.


2. Machine factors:

① The silo design did not take into account the impact of gravity changes on the fluidity and material sorting of the materials in the oscillating plate. Because the more materials, the higher the center of gravity of the materials, which will increase the fluidity of the materials, causing the overlapping materials to enter the detection channel before they can be separated, resulting in inaccurate counting. As the material decreases, its center of gravity decreases, which will reduce the fluidity of the materials, which may cause the counting speed to slow down.

② The drop between the memory baffle and the falling shield is too large, the material falls too long, and the material rotates in the falling shield and cannot fall into the packaging bottle in time, resulting in inaccurate counting.

⑶ Since the falling shield of the capsule counting machine is made of plexiglass, the material rotates at high speed in the shield when it falls freely from the detection channel, generating static electricity. Another reason is that some Chinese medicine ingredients are particularly prone to static electricity during friction. Due to static electricity, the material is adsorbed on the grain-falling shield, which reduces the effective number of grains falling into the bottle, resulting in inaccurate grain counting.

⑷ The memory baffle is not pushed out in place and cannot completely block the material. When the memory baffle is opened, there is still material passing through the memory baffle, resulting in inaccurate grain counting.

⑸ The grain-falling shield is not in the right position and cannot completely block the bottle mouth, resulting in the material not being able to smoothly fall into the packaging bottle, resulting in inaccurate grain counting.

⑹ When installing and adjusting the machine, the horizontal adjustment of the oscillation plate is tilted forward, so that the material naturally slides into the detection channel when the oscillation plate stops vibrating, causing miscounting.


3. Material factors:

① The setting oscillation frequency of the three-stage oscillation plate for producing capsules, tablets and pills is different.

② When producing tablets and capsules, due to the large amount of dust carried by the material, the dust accumulation in the detection channel blocks the infrared rays, making the counting circuit unable to work normally.


4. Medium factors:

① The influence of environmental factors on counting accuracy mainly comes from the quality of compressed air. Compressed air with high water content has a greater impact on the sensitivity of the actuator cylinder. Once the sensitivity of the cylinder decreases, the accuracy of the counting cannot be guaranteed.


5. Parameter setting factors of capsule counting machine:


① The size of the silo gate has a greater impact on the separation state of the material on the oscillation plate. If the gate is too large, the material will flow out too fast. If the material flows out too fast, there will be overlap. When the overlapping material passes through the detection channel, it will affect the accuracy of the counting. If it is too small, it will affect the counting speed.


② Setting the oscillation frequency of the three-level oscillation plate. If the setting is too fast, the material cannot be effectively separated, which will affect the counting accuracy. If it is too slow, it will affect the production speed.


③ Setting the product length and minimum parameters. The appearance size of the product is directly related to the light time and light shielding time of the infrared ray of the detection channel. The light time is the time between particles. The shorter the light time, the higher the resolution. The light shielding time is determined by the appearance size of the product. If the light shielding time is set too long, it will result in undercounting. If the light shielding time is set too short, the counter will be unclear and rejection will occur, affecting the counting speed.

④ Setting the value of the pre-count. Pre-counting means that the machine continues to count the pills when the bottle is replaced after the pill cover has finished counting the pills to increase the production capacity. When the last pill is detected, all the pills will fall into the detection track, and the memory block will block them. When the empty bottle reaches the pill cover, the pre-counted pills will fall into the bottle. If the pre-count parameter is set too small, it will affect the counting speed, and if it is too large, it will affect the counting accuracy.

⑤ Setting the counting speed. If the parameter is set too small, the product will be fully separated on the oscillating plate, which is beneficial to improving the counting accuracy. But it is not conducive to improving the production speed. If it is set too large, the product will not be separated well on the oscillating plate, which will have a serious impact on the counting accuracy.

⑥ Setting the separation speed. The separation speed refers to the separation speed between the last pill of the previous bottle and the first pill of the next bottle. If the separation speed is too fast, the memory baffle will not be able to separate the products between the previous bottle and the next bottle, resulting in one more or one less pill. If the separation speed is too slow, it will affect the production speed.


6. Factors of decreased cylinder sensitivity:

As the actuator of the capsule counting machine, the speed of reaction directly affects the accuracy of counting. The main reasons for the decreased cylinder sensitivity are: moisture content in compressed air, non-cylinder grease, impurities entering the cylinder, wear and leakage of cylinder seals, etc.
